Anna Elisabeth 1832-1918
Anna Elizabeth was born August of 1832 in Suss, Hessen Germany. Anna Elizabeth's Godmother was her aunt, Elisabeth Kuech Enderlein, wife of Johann Adam Enderlein who lived at Um Uberloor 21 between 1825 and 1850 in Suss, Hessen, Germany. Elisabeth (1835- 1918) never married and remained her mother's life long companion. One wonders at the stories Elizabeth might have told us about their lives in Germany, their passage across the Atlantic, their arrival in New Orleans, their riverboat ride up the great Mississippi River, the growth of St. Louis, Missouri as it grew from 90,0000 to ? during the years she lived there with her mother, Susanna Bahrt Enderlein, and her not yet married siblings, Adam, Ernst, and Martha from 1854 to 1868. After the Civil War they moved to Doniphan, Doniphan, Kansas and remained until death. She lived with her Brother-in-law Adam Schnell to help with the children after the death of her sister, Anna Martha, in 1889 at age 46. Her youngest child was 2 at the time of her death.
On the map Her burial place is shown as being between her brother E. (Ernst) Enderlein and George F. Brenner.
