Rozella entered eternity on August 5, 2008 while at Hospice House of Spokane.

She was born in Roy, MT on February 5, 1922. Her accomplishments and gifts are far too great to list here. She was a remarkable woman. Her nine children knew her to be the mom who taught strength and truth to each of them. She gave love and care to family and strangers alike during her years as an Army wife, mother, political activist, musician and faithful friend.

Her belief that God is Love was shown throughout her life as she made choices according to her beliefs. Rozella will be tremendously missed by every person whose life she touched.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Matt J Fischer; daughter Kathy Ozbat; and grandson Paul A Fischer.

She is survived by her brothers: Willard Prouty and Fred Prouty, and sister Nina Prouty. Her surviving children are Ardella Ann Fischer, Marcella Marie Fischer-Swartz, Stephen Andrew Fischer, Brunella Barbara Kuhns, Lynn Louise Roupe, Rozella Irene Payne, Mary Elizabeth Murphy, and Drucilla Marie Pauckert. She is also survived by 24 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and by countless others she embraced as her own.

A Vigil Service will be held Friday, August 8, at 7:00 p.m., and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, August 9, at 10:00 a.m., all at Mount St. Michael's, 8500 N. Mount St. Michael's Rd. Interment will be at Holy Rosary Cemetery.
