AUGUSTUS F. ROBERTS.
Augustus F. Roberts died at his home, 393 Ellison Street, last night, after an illness of several weeks. He was in his sixtieth year, and death was due to diabetes. The deceased has lived in retirement for the past four years. He was married twice, his first wife having been Miss Jemima Ryle, daughter of the late John Ryle. His second wife was Mrs. Anna Van Dolsen, daughter of the late Stephen Van Winkle. Mr. Roberts is survived by his widow, two children of his first marriage, Arthur Roberts and Jemima R. Roberts, both of this city, two sisters, Mrs. William I. Lewis, wife of the District Court judge, and Mrs. Walter T. Wesphy, of London, Canada, brother, Joseph D. Roberts, and a stepson, Dr. William Van Dolsen. The funeral will be held Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Mr. Roberts was a prominent member of the Church of the Redeemer, and was a devoted family man. His loss will be felt in a large circle of relatives, friends and acquaintances. He had planned to go soon to his country home at Mt. Arlington, from May to October.
