Mr. Burwell W. Clark, one of the oldest and most highly respected citizens of the county, died at his home near Union church in Sandy Ridge township, Friday night. He had been feeble for some time as a result of old age, being 82 years of age. "Uncle Burl," as everybody called him, was a man who will be missed. He was a figure in his locality for many years. He was the last but one of an unusually large family, there being now but one sister left, Mrs. John Laney, who lives in Texas. There were ten full brothers and sisters in Mr. Clark's father's family and eleven half brothers and sisters, of which he is the youngest, ex-three children, Mr. W. T. Clark, of Oklahoma, who is expected here in a few days, and Mrs. J. I. Clark, and Miss Emma Clark. The remains were buried at Union church, of which he was a member, Saturday.
