Charles Andrew "Moocho" Cheek, 63, of 118 Highway 49, husband of Carolyn Dockery Cheek, passed away August 15, 2008 at Laurens County Hospital. Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Willis A. Cheek and Martha Bagwell Cheek Amick. He owned Cheek's Stop & Shop and was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Kyle A. Cheek, and one daughter, Paula R. Davis both of Laurens; and 2 grandchildren, Dylan Davis and Tori Brown. He was predeceased by a brother L.M. Cheek. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Monday, August 18, 2008 at Eastside Baptist Church conducted by Revs. J.D. Putman, Jr., Joe Baldwin, and Ronnie Blackwell with burial following at Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends Sunday from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Eastside Baptist Church.
