Edith Sumner

Edith Eliene H. Sumner, 92, of Folkston, Ga. died May 2, 2007 in her home in Kingsland, Ga.

A native of Centerville, Iowa, she moved to Folkston in 1979. She was a member of the Garden Club, AARP and a member of the Church of Latter Day Saints of Jesus Christ of Hilliard, Fla. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels and Concerted Services and gave out commodities.

Mrs. Sumner is survived by one daughter: Alice Kayleen Sumner of Folkston; one son, Billy Kay (Judy) Sumner of Sullivan, Il.; two grandchildren: Susan Norris, Kenny Sumner; one step granddaughter: Kim Smith; four great-grandchildren: Brenton Norris, Keith Norris, Ryan Norris and Kristyn Sumner; and one step great-grandchild Ethan Smith.

The family received friends, Monday, May 7, 2007 at the Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Shepard Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
