Mr. Bailey was born in Decatur, son of Russel W. and Margaret Bailey. He was a department manager at Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. He married H. Louise Stanley in 1961.
Surviving are his wife; son, Douglas Wayne at home; daughters, Andrea, Jennifer and Lisa, all at home; mother of Niantic; brothers, Kent of Wilson, N.C.; Gregory A. of Harristown; sisters, Mrs. John David (Karen) O'Neill of Philo; Melissa Bailey of Jacksonville, Fla.
