Funeral services for Russel Wayne Bailey of near Niantic will be held at 3 p.m. thursday in the Dawson & Wikoff Funeral Home. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery.
Mr. Bailey, 49-year old farmer, died at 7 p.m. Monday (April 13, 1964) in Decatur and Macon County Hospital.
Mr. Bailey formerly was clerk of Harristown County Board of School Trustees.
Mr. Bailey came to the Niantic area 26 years ago from Christian County, where he was born Jan. 3, 1915, son of Charles Louis and Geneva Roberts Bailey.
He was a member of Berea Christian Church.
On Feb. 13, 1937, he was married in Champaign to Margaret G. Greer, who survives.
Also surviving are sons, Kent, Niantic; Douglas, Harristown, Dennis and Gregory, both at home; daughters, Mrs. John (Karen) O'Neill, Philo; Melissa, at home; a brother, Clifford, Decatur; a sister, Mrs. John (Evelyn) Hagen, Niantic; half-sister, Mrs. Lute (Erma) Hinton, Mount Auburn; and eight grandchildren.
