Former Resident of Williamstown Dies in Ohio; Funeral Williamstown
Mrs. Tobitha Ellen Athey McDougle, 74, died at the home of her son, Clyde Athey, in Chillicothe, Ohio, Tuesday morning of complications due to old age. She was a daughter of Benson and Vienna Holden Athey and was born on Williamstown pike. She lived in the vicinity of Williamstown until about 30 years ago ??? went to Chillicothe to live. Mrs. McDougle had been a lifelong member of the Methodist episcopal church and at the time of her death was affiliated with the M.E. church in Chillicothe, Ohio.
Surviving are one son, Clyde, at whose home she died; several nieces and nephews in this section, and three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Leora They, Williamstown, Mrs. Ellen Athey, Williamstown, and Mrs. Gideon Athey, Bolder, Colorado.
The body will be brought to the home of a niece, Mrs. Door-Leiving, in Victoria avenue, Williamstown, this afternoon. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 o’clock in the Williamstown Methodist Episcopal church, South. Rev. I. N. Fannin, pastor, will officiate and burial will be made in Williamstown Knights of Pythias cemetery.
