Jimmy Bartle Taylor, 83, passed away peacefully Friday, July 4, 2008, in the presence of her three daughters in Kansas City, Mo.
Memorial service: 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, at First Presbyterian Church, 1000 Penn St., Fort Worth. Private burial: was July 8 in Forest Hill Cemetery in Kansas City, Mo., followed by a Mic-O-Say service and memorial service at Muehlebach Funeral home.
Jimmy was born in Casper, Wyo. in 1924. Jimmy married John James Taylor on April 18, 1947 in Jackson County. She attended Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Mo., and Huff Business College. She was in Girl Scouting over 20 years, a member of the Fort Worth Model A Ford Club, Women of Rotary, PEO, DAR, trustee of American Humanic Foundation, Sons of Greater Kansas City, Tribe of Mic-O-Say Heart of America, Boy Scout Council, Kansas City, Tribe of Lone Bear, Ozark Trails Boy Scout Council, Springfield, Mo., Alpha Phi Omega National Fraternity, speaker/consultant, Stephen minister and Altrusa International of Fort Worth.
Jimmy was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Taylor, and a daughter, Dianne.
Survivors: Daughters, Pam Gillilan of Tool, Sandy Taylor of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Lynnda Burroughs of Aledo; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
