IN MEMORIAM,

Reinhold R. Helm, 50, of Plainville, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, (March 4, 2007).

He was born on July 18, 1956 in British Columbia, Canada. He grew up in Brooklyn, N.Y. and Plainville. He graduated from Plainville High School in 1974 and then graduated from Central Connecticut State University in 1979 with a B.S. Degree in Chemistry.

He was employed by Environmental Services, Inc in South Windsor for the past 20 years. Reinhold was a member of the National Chemistry Society for 23 years. He was an avid outdoorsman, artist and photographer and enjoyed spending time in his cabin in Blandford, MA. His other hobbies included cooking, science, chemistry and reptiles.

He is survived by his mother Ella Helm, five sisters Charlotte Maronn and her husband Sigi; Edie Valencis and her husband Gary; Laura Harrison and her husband John; Irma Steeves and her husband Jay and Rose Mancini and her husband Michael, two brothers Bernard Helm and Walter Helm and his wife Susie, along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his father Henry Helm.

He will be greatly missed by his family, co-workers and friends, especially his good friends Ron, Gary and Eric.

A service in Celebration of his life will be held on Thursday March 8, 2007 at 10 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, Plainville. Burial will follow in West Cemetery.

Family and friends may gather on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at Bailey Funeral Home 48 Broad St. Plainville.
