Mrs. Paulson was born Nov. 22, 1896, at East Grand Forks, to Hans and Maria Jacobson. She grew up and attended school there and married Melvin L. Paulson Nov. 22, 1922, at Grand Marais Lutheran Church near East Grand Forks. They moved to Bemidji, and she had lived here since. She was an active member of First Lutheran Church, the American Legion Auxiliary and the Bemidji Garden Club.
She is survived by two sons, Wallace, Bemidji, and Leonard, Summerville, S.C.; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in February 1985; and by three sisters; and six brothers.
