Cpl. Milton Spraggins was mortally wounded on 8 Oct 1862 at Perryville, Kentucky by a cannon ball to the head. He died 20 Oct 1862. The same cannon ball hit his brother Jesse in the hip.It was the 1st day of the 1st battle for the 80th Indiana volunteers infantry company H
The battle was just a 5 miles from where he was born, raised and married in Pottsville Ky.
After he died, he was put into a trench and the ID of his remains was lost prior to internment at Camp Nelson
