Marilyn E. (Treinen) Forman, 73, of Omaha, Neb., died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2008, after battling cancer with strength, dignity and great courage.

The former Marilyn E. Treinen was born Oct. 3, 1934, at rural Remsen, the daugher of Leonard and Sylvia (Kramer) Treinen. She grew up in Le Mars and graduated from St. Joseph High School. She worked at the Plymouth County Courthouse for several years. She then moved to Omaha where she worked in an architect's office. She married John Forman.


The couple lived at Beaver Lake, Neb., and later moved back to Omaha.


She will be remembered for her beautiful smile and great kindness to all she knew.


Survivors include her husband, John of Omaha; her children, Monica F. London and her husband, Mark, and John L. Forman and his wife, Monique, both of the Omaha area; grandchildren, Cecilia and Jakub London and Isabella and Lucas Forman; a brother, William Treinen and his wife, JoEllen of Sioux City; two sisters, Dorothy and Ray Langel of Le Mars and Charlotte and Terry Townsend of Newton; a sister-in-law, Joyce Treinen of Le Mars; and many nieces and nephews.


She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Mark Treinen.


Funeral Mass was held Thursday, Aug. 7, at St. Margaret Mary's in Omaha, with interment in the Bohemian Cemetery.
