Mrs. Howard E. (Louise) Gillette, 56, of Aurora, Ill., died last Tuesday at Copley Hospital in Aurora.
Services were held Friday at Healy Chapel in Aurora with burial in Lincoln Memorial Park, Aurora.
Mrs. Gillette was born in Dubuque, where she held the city tennis championship for many years. She was the golf champion at the Dubuque Golf Club and Country Club for two years.
Surviving besides her husband, Dr. Gillette, are two daughters, Mrs. Galen (Marianne) Maddy of Oceanside, Calif., and Mrs. Edward (Nancy) Ryrie of Aurora; a son, Richard H. of Oceanside; two grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Norman (Anne) Bainbridge of Dubuque.
Memorials may be given to Wesley United Methodist Church and Copley Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Louise H. Gillette, 56, of Aurora, died Tuesday in Copley Memorial Hospital. She was born Jan. 20, 1922 in Dubuque, Iowa.
Mrs. Gillette was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church and active in Circle 2 activities. She was a past director and member of the Child Welfare Society, a past president of the White Cross Auxiliary and a member of the Board of Governors of Copley Memorial Hospital. She
attended McMurray College and was graduate of Cook County Hospital School of Nursing in 1943. She was a member of the Aurora Country Club. She was a member of the Aurora Tennis Club and was an avid participant and patron of sports activities on Aurora's West Side.
Surviving are her husband Dr. Howard E. Gillette, two daughters, Mrs. Galen B. (Marianne) Maddy of Oceanside, Calif. and Mrs. Edward (Nancy) Ryrie of Aurora; a son, Richard H. Gillette of Oceanside, two grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Norman (Anne) Bainbridge of Dubuque,
Iowa.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Healy Chapel. The Rev. Robert B. Crocker will officiate.
Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the chapel.
Contributions in Mrs. Gillette's name may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church or to Copley Memorial Hospital.
