Susie was the 6th and youngest child born to John & Cyrena Sarah (Beckwith) Frazee. Their oldest child, James Arthur, died at only 7 months of age, in 1869. Susie had two older sisters - Glencora Elizabeth and Lenora Jane - and two older brothers - John Ditmus and James J. Susie contracted and died from diphtheria on November 6, 1887, and two days later, brother James J, also died from diphtheria. What a very sad time for the Frazee family ~

Obituary:
Nov. 11, 1887 --Susie, daughter of John and C. S. Frazee died last Saturday night, and James, eleven year old son of same, died Tuesday evening, both of diphtheria. The remains of the little ones repose in the Beckwith cemetary. Two of the other children were sick, but are now improving. The parents have the sympathy and condolence of a large circle of relatives and friends. Sorrow finds relief in the expression: "Death at worst is but perfect rest." Our tears to the sacred memory of the loved ones that are with us no more.
