Duncan was living with his mother at West Allis
after his parents were divorced.He enlisted in
the Army 14 September 1964 when he was 17
years and 5 days old.
Arriving in Vietnam 16 August 1965 Duncan
was assigned D Company,2nd Battalion,179th
Cavalry,1st Cavalry Division,USARV.He was
at Ia Drang,at LZ X-Ray and Albany when the
battalion encountered hostile forces 7 kilo-
meters northeast of Cu Prong Mountain,Hill
732.He died as a result of a gunshot wound to
the head from hostile rifle fire.
Survived by his mother,Caroline Krueger of
6231 W National Ave,West Allis and his father,
Frederick Krueger of 7900 W Greenfield Ave,
West Allis,WI.
