East Troy - Frederick S. Lieber, 74, a retired druggist died suddenly of a heart attack at his local residence Saturday morning. Born 26 December 1891 in Jamestown, ND, he was the son of Gustav and Mary Lieber. He attended North Dakota School of Pharmacy and served in the Army during World War I. He then graduated from Marquette School of Pharmacy in Milwaukee. He married Inez Chester, in Jamestown ND on 14 July 1920. He was employed at a drug firm in Milwaukee for many years before moving to East Troy in 1942. He owned and operated the present Zimmer Drug Store until retiring in 1952. Since then he had helped at the store.
He was the Treasurer of the Village board for 10 years and a member of the board for many years. a member and past commander and service officer of the American Legion. For the past three years he had served as Treasurer of the Community Chest program in East Troy.
Surviving are his wife; two sons; Fred, NJ, and Mark M., Dallas, TX; a daughter, Mrs. Harriett Parrish, Long Island, NY; a sister Mrs. Helen Matze, Steven Point, WI.
Services were this morning at St. Peter's Catholic Church, the Rev. John Goebel officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery where military rites were performed by the American Legion. Arrangements made by the Anderson Memorial Home.
