Walter E. Reckling, M.D., 69, of Cheyenne died March 31.
He was born Sept. 17, 1931, in Lusk.
Mr. Reckling married Nancy Winings Nov. 28, 1958, in Decatur, Ill.
He graduated from the University of Wyoming with honors in 1953, and the University of Rochester School of Medicine. He interned at Denver General Hospital and finished his residency at the University of Colorado in 1961.
He was a physician in Cheyenne for 33 years. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
Mr. Reckling was a member of First United Methodist Church, American College Surgeons, American Medical Society, Wyoming Medical Society, Laramie County Medical Society, Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra, LCCC Wind Ensemble
He is survived by two sons, W. Carlton Reckling, M.D. of Cheyenne and John F. Reckling, M.D. of Riverton; a daughter, Lori Reckling Longbottom of Omaha, Neb.; a brother, Frederick W. Reckling, M.D. of Fort Collins, Colo.; a sister, Velma Jean Bales of Laramie; and six grandchildren.
