The former Sylvia K. Komula, was born February 21, 1914 in Arnheim, a daughter of the late Oscar and Anna (Wayrynen) Komula. She lived there until age 19, at which time she moved to Detroit for a short period of time and then returned to make her home for most of her lifetime in the Chassell area.
She attended the McMahon School in Arnheim.
In 1946, she was united in marriage to Gunnard H. Kyllonen and he preceded her in death in 1971.
Her second husband, Richard Aho, preceded her in death in 1982.
Sylvia will always be remembered for her baking, her crafts, and her love of people.
She was a member of the Tapiola Apostolic Lutheran Church.
Besides her husbands and parents; she was preceded in death by two sisters, Ilene Junttila and Anna Lescelius; and five brothers, Waino, Jack, William, Eino and Earl Komula.
Surviving were a son, Gunnard "Bill" (Violet) Kyllonen of Zeeland; three grandsons, Charles (Kris) Kyllonen of Port Huron, Kenneth Kyllonen and his fiancee, Melody Good, of Battle Creek, Kyle (Kristine) Kyllonen of Holland; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ida Hilberg, a resident patient at Houghton County Medical Care Facility in Hancock, Lydia Korpi of Chassell, Helen Barkkari of Houghton; a brother, John (Betty) Komula of Chassell; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Burial: Nisula Cemetery.
