Mrs. Emily-Jane Parette, 74 of Fayetteville, AR passed away Thursday, July 24, 2008, at her home in Fayetteville, AR. She was born November 21, 1933 in Baltimore, MD to Edmond Preston Walmsley and Edith (Preston) Walmsley.
She was a wife, mother, grandmother, master gardener, and Razorback fan as well as a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Fayetteville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Billie E. Parette and her sister Katherine Schultz.
She is survived by four sons and five grandchildren; Edmond Walmsley (Ned) Parette and daughter Jeanette of Fayetteville, AR, Charles Richard Parette and wife Diana of Kingwood, TX, Roger Eugene Parette, wife Leigh and daughters Emma and Anne of Overland Park, KS, Paul Newbold Parette, wife Charla, son Noah, and daughter Logan of Dallas, TX.
Visitation will be held Sunday, July 27, 2008 from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.
A Celebration of Her Life will be held 1:00 PM, Monday, July 28, 2008 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Fayetteville (at the corner of Sycamore and Garland) with Reverend Terry Gosnell officiating. Private burial will be held at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
In Lieu of flowers the family has established a scholarship at the University of Arkansas in memory of their mother and her love of the Razorbacks.
