Wilson "Red" Durham, age 71, of 511A Madison Street, Manchester, a horse trainer and farmer, died May 8 at Coffee County Medical Center. He was the son of Herman and Laura Alice Durham. He was a Navy veteran and a native Franklin Countian. Survivors include his wife, Louise Durham; daughter, Laura Grandstaff of Nashville; five step-daughters, Sandra Kelley, Frances Campbell, and Ann Powers, all of Decherd, Patricia Merritt of Lebanon and Betty Meeks of Winchester; two stepsons, Aubrey Mears of Winchester and David Mears of Lebanon; four sisters, Mary Hall and Barbara Dooley of Winchester, Hermelene Pickett of Huntland and Mary Jane Curtis of Belvidere; a half-sister, Tiny Hill of St. Louis, Missouri; a brother, J. B. Durham of Estill Springs; half-brother, Jamie Durham of Belvidere; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Friday, May 10, at 3:30 p.m. from Moore-Cortner Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Franklin Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers were Jimmy Self, Bud Kelley, Ray Conley, Edward Mears, Aubrey Mears, and David Mears. Moore-Cortner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
