Dorothy J. Baranzano of Coatesville

Dorothy Joan Baranzano, 71, of Coatesville, passed quietly Monday, March 5, 2007, at Brandywine Hospital.
She was the wife of Gerald J. Baranzano, with whom she had shared 48 years of marriage. Born in West Brandywine, she was the daughter of the late James H. and Dorothy Swinehart Megonigal. Dorothy worked for 22 years at Downingtown National Bank and retired in 1992 as head teller from the East End Branch.
She was a member of Hibernia United Methodist Church, enjoyed spending time with her grandson and celebrating holidays with her family. In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Gerald James Jr. and his wife, Cheryl Ann of Honey Brook, Brian M. of East Fallowfield and Jeffery M. of West Chester; a daughter, Noralee M. Butler and her husband, Edward D. of Coatesville; a sister, Linda M. Ogden and her husband, William P. of Coatesville; a grandson, Joseph; and many nieces and nephews.
A brother, James H. Megonigal, preceded her in death in 1992.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 9, at Hibernia United Methodist Church, 220 Hibernia Road, Coatesville, where friends may call from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
Interment will be in Hibernia Methodist Cemetery.

BARANZANO - MEGONIGAL
Hibernia Methodist Church was the setting Saturday at 1 p.m. for the wedding of Miss Dorothy Joan Megonigal, daughter of James H. Megonigal, of Brandywine Manor, and Gerald J. Baranzano, son of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Swisher, 364 Fleetwood St., this city.
The double ring marriage ceremony was performed by the Rev. Merrill E. Graves, Pastor of the Thorndale Methodist Church.
Upon their return from a wedding trip to Canada, the couple will reside at Brandywine Manor.
A graduate of Scott High School, class of 1953, the bried is employed at the National Bank of Coatesville.
Also a graduate of Scott High School, Class of 1951, the bridegroom is employed by Atlantic Welding Supply.
