Jeremiah M. Pletcher, 98, of Rockwood RD 3, died Nov. 14, 1973, in Somerset Community Hospital. Born June 14, 1875, in Fayette County, he was a son of the late Daniel and Martha (Miller) Pletcher. He was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Mamie Belle Wolf; his second wife, Minnie Miller Ferner Pletcher; a son, Charles: a stepdaughter, Laura Ellen Thomas; two brothers and two sisters. Surviving are a son, John Pletcher, of Somerset; three daughters, Mrs. Thelma Lanham, Morgantown, W. Va.: Mrs. Margaret Dunn, Shinnstown, W. Va.; and Mrs. Elizabeth Close, of Ohio; also eight grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; two stepsons, Paul and John F. Ferner, both of Rockwood RD 2; two stepdaughters, Mrs. Mary Geary and Mrs. Anna Cramer, both of Rockwood RD 3; seven step-grandchildren; 21 step great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Laura Twilliger of Acme. He was a member of Middlecreek Church of the Brethren, where funeral service was held Saturday afternoon, with Rev. Fred H. Seese officiating. Interment in Middlecreek Church Cemetery.
