He lies buried in Plot E, Row 28, Grave 8 of the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery, Romagne, France. His family erected a cenotaph for him in the family plot in the Augustus Lutheran Church Cemetery in Trappe, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.
