Thomas E. "Pap" Headley, 77, of Lee Haven Towers, Leechburg, died Wednesday, May 21, 2008, at Alle-Kiski Medical Center, Natrona Heights. He was born Sept. 22, 1930, in New Kensington, a son of the late Linley Ross Headley and Sydney J. (Brown) Headley. He was a press operator at ACCRO Tools of New Kensington for five years, retiring in 1995. He was formerly employed at DonMark Mushrooms in West Leechburg for 21 years. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of St. Michael's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brick Church, Burrell Township, a life member of the Washington Township Volunteer Fire Department and was active in the area Boy Scouts. He was a 1950 graduate of Vandergrift High School. He enjoyed playing games and cards, fishing, camping in Schenley, painting, cooking, being a handyman and being with his family. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Charlotte M. (Beer) Headley; three sons, David Alan (Debbie) Headley, of Freeport, Michael E. (Wendy) Headley, of Leechburg, and William T. (Lori) Headley, of Ford City; a daughter, Julie Ann (Michael) Kinosz, of Leechburg, a sister, Donna Jean (Martin) Kotvas, of Ridgway; 10 grandchildren, Brooke and Mike Kinosz, Keith, Ken, Kara, Katie, Daniel, Amy and Lynsie Headley and Tiffany Sperber; and two great-grandchildren, Spring and Drake Sperber. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Robert D. Headley and the Rev. William N. Headley. Friends will be welcomed by his family from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral ceremonies at 11 a.m. Saturday in CLAWSON'S, Second at Main streets, Leechburg. His pastor, the Rev. April Dailey, will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
