On October 22, 1940 he married Margaret Schoech in St Mary's Church in Gainesville, Texas. They lived most of his life in the Muenster area, except from 1936 to 1950 when they lived in Valley View, Texas. Farm and ranch work, and working with animals was his special vocation. He always had a good attitude. He was a past member of St. Joseph Society.
