JOHN SALM, 57, a World War I veteran, died early Wednesday morning at the Veterans’ Hospital at Wood, where he was confined since February.
Mr. Salm was born at St. Wendel, the son of the late Matt and Magdaline Salm. A mason by trade he lived most of his life in the town of Meeme.
Three brothers and his parents preceded him in death. He is survived by four sisters; Mrs. Martin (Mary) Brunner of Cleveland, Rt. 1; Mrs. Joseph (Theresa) Kutz and Mrs. Lorenz (Rose) Kutz both of Rt. 1, Newton; and Mrs. Oscar (Agnes) Neuser of Brillion.
The body can be viewed at the Veterans’ Home at Wood. Burial will be made in the Veterans’ Cemetery.
