Funeral services for Virgil Lawrence Daughhetee, 70, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Freedom Christian Church with Rev. Karen Akins officiating. Burial will be in Freedom Cemetery. He died on December 27, 1986 in Alva. He was born on January 13, 1916 in Capron to Robert and Susie (Clark) Daughhetee. He graduated from Freedom High School with the Class of 1935. He served in the Army during World War II. He married Daisy Minnie Dotter on March 5, 1951 in Tulsa. He was a retired plumber. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. He is survived by his wife, Daisy; his sons, Michael Alan Daughhetee and Robert Milton Daughhetee, both of Freedom; his step-daughters, Joy Lee Ferguson, Dolores Frances Holbrook, Colleen Marie McGinley, and Eutahona Carol "Tonnie" Ledford; his step-sons, Buddie Roger Dotter and Leo Merle Dotter; his brother, William Daughhetee of Freedom; three grandchildren; twenty one step-grandchildren; and nineteen step-great-grandchildren.
