Paul Edward Zeno passed away on Tuesday, November 20, 2001 at his home in Melbourne, FL. after a long battle with cancer. Paul was born and grew up in Bellows Falls, VT. He moved to Florida in 1972 and was Director of Parks and Recreation for Brevard County. He coordinated with Arnold Palmer Course Design Company, the development of Spessard Holland Golf Course in Melbourne Beach, FL. Appointed by the Board of County Commissioners, he chaired the Brevard County Bicentennial Sports Committee organizing over 200 events. Paul was appointed by the U.S. Senate Dept. as a consultant on development of recreational facilities in Columbia, South America. He was president of the first chapter of the Melbourne Optimist Club and served on the Melbourne Area Chamber of Commerce for many years. Paul finished his career back in his home state of Vermont as General Manager and Chief Operating Officer of the Quechee Land Owners Association in Quechee, VT., just 40 miles from where he grew up.
Paul was an avid sports fan and a University of Florida Gator Booster.
