Mrs. Marie Blevins,Taylor, age 71 of New Castle, DE died Thursday, December 11, 2003, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Keystone, WV May 23, 1932, Mrs. Taylor was a graduate of Northfork (WV) High School and Bluefield (WV) Business College. She was a member of Heritage Presbyterian Church in New Castle, DE. Mrs. Taylor is survived by her husband of 48 years, Harold Taylor; a daughter, Melissa Kay Taylor of Wilmington, DE; 5 siblings, James Blevins and Robert Blevins, both of Columbus, OH, Louise Phillips of Lughoff, SC, Dottie Sfreddo of Manassas, VA and Dollie Inscoe of Charlottesville, VA; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wells and Helen (Oram) Blevins; a daughter, Judith Verucci; and 3 sisters, Jean Evelyn Parker, Hazel Blevins and Linda Blevins. A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, December 15, 2003, at the Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 1000 N. DuPont Parkway, Wilmington Manor, New Castle, where friends may call after 1 pm. Interment will follow in Gracelawn Memorial Park, 2220 N. DuPont Parkway, New Castle. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, New Castle, DE 19720.
