"Mrs. Martha J. Anderson, aged 69 years, a native of this county, died on Monday at the home of her daughter Mrs. W. H. Peel, of Johnstown. The deceased, who was born in Green Township, was the daughter of Jacob Keith and was married in 1873 to John Anderson, also a native of Green Township, who died only five months ago. Fifteen children were born the couple, who spent almost their entire wedded life in this county. The nine surviving children are: Mrs. Bell Davis and Mrs. R. C. Keith of Barnesboro; Harry and John of Marstellar; George of Lewistown; Leida of Philadelphia, and Mrs. Virginia Saxton, Mrs. W. H. Peel and Mrs. A. C. Piccolo, of Johnstown. She is also survived by three sisters Mrs. Marie Davis of Indiana; Mrs. Amanda Strong of Strongstown, and Mrs. Rebecca Long of Alverda … interment will follow in the McDowell Cemetery in Green Township."
