She was born August 14, 1920 in Holden, West Virginia, a daughter of the late William "Bill" and Lillian Jewell Gorman. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Bridget's Catholic Church in Richmond.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lillard McEwen "Max" Ailor in 1995, and by a sister, Virginia Louise Dampier.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, John T. and Janet Ailor, and Thomas M. and Fiona Ailor, all of Richmond, two sisters, Mary Gorman Wright of Clifton Forge, and Mary M. Megna of Greenbrae, CA, seven grandchildren, and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
