Edwin "Clayton" Warner, age 86, of Byron, Michigan, was born in Durand, Nov. 8 1921 to Edwin Guy and Sarah (Youmans) Warner. He married Donna J. Cool in Byron Dec. 30, 1944. He lived in the Byron area since 1946.

Clayton served in the Army Air Force during W.W. II. He was a life member and Past Master of the Byron Masonic Lodge #80 F and AM, life member of the Huldah Chapter #212 OES, Byron, a member of he Civilian Conservation Corp., in Strongs, a member of Lewis Cass society, a member of the Teamsters Association and NCHA. He served on the Village of Byron Fire Dept. for 25 years.

Clayton was a truck driver for Complete Auto Transit, Willow Run retiring June 30, 1984 after 25 years of service. He was awarded Driver of the Year by Michigan Trucking Association.

He died at age 86 at his Byron, Michigan, home.

He was survived by his wife Donna; son Donald and wife Pamla, of Byron; son Kenneth and wife Susan, of Houghton Lake; son Roger and wife JoAnn, of Houghton Lake; son Gregg and wife Vickie of St. Charles; 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, sister-in-law Mrs. Edward (Lucile) Warner of Durand, and many neices, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, granddaughter, brother and four sisters.
