Mr. Edwards, age 74 died Tuesday at his home in Benton. Services were held Thursday at Collier Funeral Home with Kevin Williams officiating. Burial was at Walnut Grove Church of Christ cemetery, where he was a member. A retired pipefitter for B.F. Goodrich, he was a member of the machinist local union in Calvert City. He is survived by his wife, Delores; two daughters, Vickie and Cara and two sons, Chris and Charles David, all of Benton; two sisters, Geneva Washburn and Julia Edwards and a brother, Avery; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by a brother, James "Spud" Edwards. Parents: Glen and Hattie Darnall Edwards.
