Services for Mary M. Crites, 67, Logansport, will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Cross-Winds United Methodist Church.
She died at 4:20 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 23, 2008, in her residence.

Born Sept. 14, 1940, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Edward C. "Chet" Burns and Reba Ruth Harrell. She was married on June 12, 1960, in Third Street United Methodist Church in Logansport to Joe Crites, who survives.

She was a secretary for Farm Bureau Insurance and Heiny Insurance Company.

Mrs. Crites was a member of Cross-Winds United Methodist Church and the American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 81.

Also surviving are daughters, Diana Bonebrake and husband, Terry, Jenison, Mich., and Tina Griffith and husband, Mike, Logansport; grandsons, PFC Zachary Griffith, Fort Leonardwood, Mo., and James Bonebrake, Jenison, Mich.; granddaughters, Jessica Griffith, Logansport, Sarah Bonebrake, Jenison, Mich., and Katie Griffith, Logansport; and sister-in-law, Lydia Burns, Kokomo.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Donald E. Burns; step-mother, Sadie Burns; and step-father, John Philipson.

Pastor Gary Lewis will officiate. Burial will be in Monticello IOOF Riverview Cemetery, Monticello.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday in Gundrum Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
