Thacker, Wilber Lee, 64, of Rossville, died Thursday, Feb. 13, 1997, at his home. A native of Dekalb County, Ala., he was an Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired truck driver from Chemical Leaman after 25 years. He was a Baptist and the brother of the late Marlin and Gene R. Thacker. Survivors include his wife, Opal Moore Thacker; two daughters, Terri Lofty, Rossville, Paula Bible, Ringgold, Ga.; stepson, John Moore, Rossville; three sisters, Gaynell Monday, Albertville, Ala., Bonnie Hilley, Teresa Arrington, Alabama; two grandchildren. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in the funerial home chapel. Burial will be in Natonial Cemetery. Visitation will be 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Sunday and Monday at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funerial Home.
