President of Orinoco Steamship Company Peritonitis Victim
Richard Morgan Olcott, President of the Orinoco Steamship Company and the National Cellular Steel Company, died yesterday from peritonitis at the Flower Hospital, Manhattan, at the age of 56 years.

Mr Olcott, who had traveled extensively abroad, gained the distinction of having received the decorations of Knight of the Royal Order of Wasa from Sweden, and that of the Bust of Bolivar from Venezuela.

He was born in New Rochelle, the son of Colonel Henry Steel Olcott and Mrs Mary E Morgan Olcott, and was educated in England and Germany.

He was a member of the Sons of the American Revolution, the Metropolitan Club, the New York Athletic Club and the Republican Club.
