Mrs. Sarah E. Reaver

Mrs. Sarah E. Reaver, [3]4, widow of James R. Reaver, died at her home, in Gettysburg, this morning at 4:45 o'clock from infirmities of age. She had been ill since Christmas and was bedfast two months.

The deceased was born in Adams county, a daughter of the late Solomon and Julia (Bowersox) Snyder. She resided in the county all her life with the exception of a few years spent in Harney following her marriage. Mrs. Reaver was a member of Trinity Reformed church. Her husband died March 25, 1941.

Surviving are five children, Mrs. Gertrude Weikert, Gettysburg, Mrs. Myrtle Fiscel, Gettysburg R. 2; Paul S., Gettysburg; D. Lake, Gettysburg, and Mrs. Lloyd Durboraw, Gettysburg; 20 grandchildren, 30 greatgrandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Amanda Sponseller, New Oxford.


Funeral services Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Bender funeral home conducted by the Rev. Howard Schley Fox. Interment in Evergreen cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Saturday evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.
