Charlie B. Gibbs Funeral Held Today At Duplex Church
DUPLEX -- Funeral services were conducted Thursday at 3 p.m. at the Duplex church for Charlie B. Gibbs, 84, long-time resident of the Ivanhoe Community, who passed away Wednesday morning at his home.
Rev. R. L. Cates, of Collinsville, and Jack W. King, Church of Christ minister of Bonham, officiated. Burial was in Duplex Cemetery, with Wise in charge.
Mr. Gibbs was born July 22, 1867 in North Carolina. He is survived by his widow; three sons, Joe Gibbs, Denison; Shuff Gibbs and Woodrow Gibbs, Ivanhoe, Rt. 1; two daughters, Mrs. Ray Moseley, Modesto, Calif.; Mrs. Leila Hale, Crockett; 11 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren.
