HOLD FUNERAL FOR BRILLION RESIDENT

Brillion – The funeral of Mrs. Fred Behnke, 54, was held Wednesday afternoon from the Lutheran church, the Rev. Sauer officiating. Louis Raddatz first married Jacob Schaefer, who preceded her in death. Two children from this marriage survive. They are; Fred Schaefer of Hanson, Edwin Schaefer of Hilbert. In 1912 she married Fred Behnke, Sr. Five children survive from this marriage; Waldemar, Robert, Adeline and Milton; also seven step children, Fred, Herman, Henry Behnke of Brillion, Mrs. William Fischer of Brillion, Mrs. Fred Priebe of Rantoul, Mrs. Carl Thurrow of Brillion, Mrs. Herman Hartz of Hilbert; 20 grandchildren survive. Pall bearers were six sons, Herman, Fred, Jr., Henry, Irvin Behnke, Edwin and Fred Schaefer. Interment was in Lutheran cemetery.

Mrs. Louise Behnke, wife of Fred Behnke, died on Saturday at the age of 54 years, survived by the aged mother, Mrs. Amelia Raddatz of Chilton, her husband, one brother, Otto Raddatz of Hilbert and four sisters. Mrs. Pauline Ahrens, Brillion, Mrs. Martha Schenk, Van Dyne, Mrs. Bertha Ortlepp of Chilton and Mrs. Olga Schwallenberg, Sherwood. The decedent was born in the town of Rantoul in 1877, daughter of the Mr. and Mrs. Julius Raddatz. In 1912 she was united in marriage to Fred Behnke of Brillion, who now survives her. The funeral was conducted at the Lutheran church here. The pallbearers were Ed Schaefer, F. Schaefer, Irvan Behnke, Herman Behnke, Fred Behnke and Henry Behnke.
