CLAYTON ABE
Clayton Abe, 82, of 252 Elder Street, died yesterday at Sacred Heart Hospital.
Born at Old Furnace, W. Va., he was a son of the late Phillip and Anna (Largent) Abe. His first wife, Bernice K. (Buckley) Abe, preceded him in death.
A retired B&O Railroad employee, he was a member of the Brotherhood of Railroad Boilermakers Local 332, First Church of Christ, Senior Citizens and Sixty-Plus Club. He was an Army veteran of World War I and a member of Henry Hart Post 1411, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and World War I Veterans.
Surviving are his widow, Clara (Lashley) Abe; five sons, Lawrence W. Abe, LaVale; Robert L., Ivan L., and Roger C. Abe, city; Richard D. Abe, Wiley Ford; a daughter, Mrs. Edith Hetrick, Spring Gap; a sister, Mrs. Myra E. Twigg, city; 24 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
The body is at the Scarpelli Funeral Home where friends will be received from 7 until 9 p.m. and tomorrow from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m.

ABE SERVICE
A service for Clayton Abe, 82, of 252 Elder Street, who died Wednesday, will be conducted tomorrow at 1 p.m. at the Scarpelli Funeral Home. Rev. Ronald Stullenbarger will officiate and interment will be in Abe Cemetery. Members of Henry Hart Post 1411 and Fort Cumberland Post 13 will accord military honors at graveside.
Pallbearers will be Larry Abe, Steve Abe, Ricki Abe, Junior Lee Abe, Roger Abe, Jr., and Robert M. Abe.
