Billie Wayne Risley, 71, of Arthur died at 2:55 a.m. Thursday (Aug. 28, 2008) at the Arthur Home. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Shrader Funeral Home in Arthur with Pastors Doug Davis and Mitch Flesch officiating. Burial will be in the Arthur Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. He was born July 8, 1937, in Kirksville, the son of William and Ora Lee Green Risley. He married Flossie Robinson in Sullivan in 1956; she survives. Other survivors include three sons, Donnie Miller of Columbus, Kan., Billy Joe Risley of Sullivan and Kevin Risley of Tuscola; two daughters, Pam Chumbley of Lake City and Debbie Stutzman of Arthur; one sister, Eileen Ray of Gays; 15 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, one grandson, three brothers and three sisters. Mr. Risley had worked as a security guard for Progress Industries, then Schrock's Cabinets, and most recently Prairie Center in Champaign. He was a member of the Arthur Southern Baptist Church. Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
