Jennie W. Betts Of Millsboro, DE. Age 96. Died Thursday, June 10, 1999 at the home of her son, Don W. Betts with whom she lived. Service: 10:30 am Monday at St. Mark's Episcopal Church, State St., Millsboro. Interment: Millsboro Cemetery.

Mrs. Betts was a 1920 graduate of the Georgetown High School and a 1923 graduate of West Chester Normal School in West Chester, PA. She taught in the Philadelphia School System for 3 years. From 1935 to the early 1970's she and her late husband, Walter "Huck" Betts, who died in 1987, operated the Ball Theater in Millsboro. She was born in Georgetown to the late Penrose S. and Mary K. Wilgus. She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Millsboro.

In addition to her son, she is survived by 2 grandchildren, Donna Zeigler & James W. Betts and 6 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to St. Mark's Memorial Fund, c/o Mrs. Roberta Collins, 205 Laurel Rd., Millsboro, DE 19966.
