Mrs. Ball, age 86, died at her home. Happily married for 64 years, she was survived by her husband, Samuel B. Ball. She was preceded in death by her son, Samuel B. Ball Jr. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, her granddaughter and husband, and three grandsons. A graduate of Central High School and Richmond Business School, Rose Frances worked for the H.O.L.C. and later in the stenographers' pool of the State General Assembly. As an active member of Beulah Baptist Church all of her life, she served as the Sunday school superintendent for years, taught, among others, the Young Adult Class and Adult Ladies Class, was president of the Women's Missionary Society and led the children's singing and was a member of the church choir for many years. The family requests that donations be made to the Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery Endowment.
