Mr. Royal was born April 21, 1988, in Texarkana. He was a student and a member of Haney Creek Baptist Church, Ashdown.
Survivors include one son, Caiden B. Royal of Texarkana; his parents, Ricky Royal and Debrah Smith of Ashdown; and two brothers, Kenderrick Smith of Ashdown and Jordan Royal of Texarkana.
Services were June 21 at Ashdown High School Gym with the Rev. Eric Nelson officiating. Burial was in Rhodes Cemetery under direction of Lyles Funeral Home.
