He was the son of the late Harvey and Billy Hold.
He was a member of Morris Hill Baptist Church and was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam.
Mr. Hold was the former owner of Truck Liquidators.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Cherri Hold; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Ronnie Hold Jr., and Ashley Hold, of Blue Ridge, Ga.; daughter and son-in-law, Amy and Chuck Lynn, of East Brainerd; five grandchildren, Nathan, Kody, Nicholas, Sidney and Joshua; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Elvin and Pat Hold, of Silver Spring, Md., William and Judy Hold, of Chattanooga; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Mason officiating.
Interment will follow in Lee Cemetery, McDonald, Tenn.
