Jonathan was son of Elias and Lucy Dye Low(e) of Spartanburg County, South Carolina. He was one of five of their children to live to adulthood, the others being: Adella M. (married Rial Cannon, Oscar Perry, Elias Samuel, and Belton Alanzo Lowe. His obituary appeared in the local newspaper and was published.

SIXTY TWO YEAR OLD FARMER DIED IN HOSPITAL EARLY YESTERDAY

Funeral services will be conducted this morning at 11 o'clock for J.G. Lowe, 62, prominent farmer living near Spartanburg, who died at a local hospital at 6:20 o'clock yesterday morning.

Mr. Lowe was the father of Miss May Lowe, superintendent of nurses at the Spartanburg General Hospital. He had a wide circle of friends in the county.

The funeral this morning will be held at the J.F. Floyd Mortuary, with the Rev. W.H. Polk of Greer officiating. Burial will be in Liberty churchyard, near Whitney.

Active pallbearers will be composed of the following nephews: C.L. Cannon, Robert Cannon, Buford Thomas, Archie Lowe, Callous Lowe, J.M. Dye, Claude Wood and John Wood.

Surviving are the following children: Jesse W. Lowe, Miss May Lowe, Billie Lowe and Cecil Lowe of
Spartanburg; Mrs. Nina Sirreno of New York; Oscar Lowe of Asheville, and J.C. and Harold Lowe. Mr. Lowe is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. R.G. Cannon, Route 1, Spartanburg; and Mrs. Emily Turner, Converse; three brothers, O.P. Lowe of this city and Sam Lowe, of Route 1.
