Rev. Carl Stockdale, 80, retired pastor
EAST LIVERPOOL - Services are planned Tuesday for the Rev. Carl F. Stockdale, 80, of the Fawcett Apartments, who died at 7:37 a.m. Saturday, May 16, 1992, at City Hospital where he had been a patient two days.
He was born here Oct. 3, 1911, a son of the late Benjamin and Frena Sutherland Stockdale.
Retired from the United Methodist clergy, Rev. Stockdale had served several churches in the Tri-State Area. He also served many years as building superintendent of the Fawcett Apartments. He was an organizer and a longtime director of the East Liverpool Singspiration. He was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and the East Ohio Conference of the United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Robinson Stockdale, whom he married June 29, 1935; a daughter, Mrs. James (Dolores) McKeone of East Liverpool; a son, Gene L. Stockdale of Wellsville; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Clark Allison of the Wellsville Church of the Nazarene is to conduct services at 10:30 a.m. at the Dawson Funeral Home. Burial is to be in Hammondsville Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today.
Marker is located in front portion of cemetery about four rows back from white fence.

Gravesite Details
Per my husband's family, Carl and Virginia Stockdale only had one child, Gene. Dolores Hanna McKeone moved in with the Stockdales in her late teens or early twenties. She was never adopted or took the Stockdale name.
