George Cannon, Resident Here for 53 Years, Dies.

George Cannon, 62 years old, a native of Kansas and for 53 years a resident of Arkansas City, died at 7:15 Tuesday night at his home, 821 South Seventh street. Mr. Cannon had been ill for two years. He was in the employ of the city with the sanitary department for many years. He had been a member of the Odd Fellows lodge for a quarter of a century.

Surviving are his widow; a son, John Cannon, three daughters; Hazel Trenary and Mrs. Goldie Logan, all of Arkansas City; five grandchildren and two brothers; Henry and Bert Cannon, Arkansas City.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 Thursday morning in the Grant Funeral Home. The Rev. L.T. Edwards will officiate. The Shell quartet will sing. Members of the Odd Fellows lodge will be pallbearers. Burial will be in Riverview cemetery.
